- Description
- PreparedBC’s Master of Disaster learning resources teach students the importance of knowing the risks, having a kit and having a plan as well as personal, household and neighbourhood preparedness. It is taught through three core modules, each with suggested learning outcomes, suggested activities and supporting interactive resources. Modules can be used in sequence or individually. Once all three modules are complete, students are officially a "Master of Disaster" and can receive their very own certificate of completion! All modules are customizable to suit the needs of each individual classroom. **If your classroom uses these resources, please provide feedback as outlined on the Master of Disaster website. Your students will be entered to win a draw for Master of Disaster prizes, including a starter emergency kit!**

- Description
- States of matter can be more than just your average solids, liquids and gases! When water turns into snow, is it still water? The answer is yes! Our world is filled with solids, liquids, gases and even other matter that can go from one state of matter to another without changing its chemical substance. In this unit, students explore these different states of matter and their interactions. Students can make non-Newtonian fluids, observe how temperature and pressure affect matter, and explore solutions.
