Description
My recommendations for 'Green Reads for Children Book List 1' was developed through the casting of a large net, taking into consideration suggestions from the BCTF PSA groups (2015, 2016), my fine colleagues at DLG and Champlain Annex in Vancouver, literary reviews on the web, and the Vancouver and Delta libraries, as well as parents and children. These 13 books are my personal outdoor education / spiritual "gems".

Suggested follow-up activities and related reads are listed. This Book List and was compiled over several years as part of a BCTF Inquiry Project with TELA and EEPSA members.

Description
Inclusive education has seen many changes in the past decade and Educational Assistant (EA) numbers have dramatically increased in order to serve special education students within the classroom. EAs play a vital role in assisting these diverse students in achieving academic success. The relationship between the EAs and Classroom Teachers (CTs) is key. The principal purpose for this study is to examine how CTs and EAs perceive and describe their experiences with consultation and collaboration in British Columbia.

Description
A 192-page book book with 13 Chapters written by the Livingstone Teacher Inquiry Group which included teachers, a Principal, university and BCTF researchers. Ten chapters are written by teachers and describe teaching strategies and approaches using Smartboards with diverse learners in an East Vancouver (BC) elementary school. The chapters focus on how to meet diverse student needs rather than the details of the technology. Three Chapters explore the nature of the learning community and are written by UBC faculty, a graduate student and a teacher union researcher.
