This unit is focused on learning about the seasons of a dog’s life. It explains how we can take care of and appreciate dogs during each time in their lives. It tells us how to treat our dogs well so they can live good long lives.

Move on from the dusty text books of classic essays in your bookroom and inspire your students with essays and creative writing published TODAY. In this series of lessons we use the website medium.com to access a wide variety of texts published on line. Students, read, share with a partner, analyse, present, and subsequently write a piece of their choice which they publish either publicly or unlisted. It offers students an opportunity to see how writers are publishing on line, the incredible range of topics that are being explored, and to see themselves as consumers of current writing and as writers themselves.
