The lesson includes an introduction with French music and a look at Canadian identity, a creative piece, a show-and-tell aspect as well as a take-home extension activity for further exploration.

This lesson likens titles and headings and titles to roadsigns (they tell you where you are going and what is next) and has an accompanying worksheet for students to complete to show their understanding of how a text is organized under headings, and how to use them to make predictions or find specific information.
