Description
This activity provides students with information (bullet points in a table) about how the Canadian government responded to the Great Depression and COVID-19. The students must complete short-answer questions related to: comparing the two responses; assessing why there is a difference between the responses; deciding which response was more effective; evaluating the benefits and drawbacks of the government's response to COVID-19. Rubric is also attached. Please feel free to modify as needed.

Description
The Edge of the World: BC's Early Years is a series of short documentaries I produced and directed for the Knowledge Network about the early history of British Columbia. Presented as a series of engaging 20 short documentaries, this DVD is an excellent starting point for discussions about 19th century life and politics in Canada and the province.
