Description: PreparedBC’s Master of Disaster learning resources teach students the importance of knowing the risks, having a kit and having a plan as well as personal, household and neighbourhood preparedness. It is taught through three core modules, each with suggested learning outcomes, suggested activities and supporting interactive resources. Modules can be used in sequence or individually. Once all three modules are complete, students are officially a "Master of Disaster" and can receive their very own certificate of completion! All modules are customizable to suit the needs of each individual classroom. **If your classroom uses these resources, please provide feedback as outlined on the Master of Disaster website. Your students will be entered to win a draw for Master of Disaster prizes, including a starter emergency kit!**

Description: This text is illustrated with graphs, photos and cites the work of hundreds of scientists and organizations such as the IPCC, NASA, Environment Canada, Royal Society of Canada, and Natural Resources Canada, to name a few. My resource is an update on the science of climate change, extreme weather and reducing greenhouse gas emissions with frequent reference to Canada and in particular British Columbia. Global impacts, mitigation and adaptation are explained throughout the text. My four years of research cites reputable journals, national and international organizations and the media. Research covers climate change from the Arctic to the Antarctic, projection of climate change, how to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, El Nino/La Nina, extreme weather, renewables, the oil sands and transport of bitumen, and Canada's contribution at the UN COP meetings. This book is meant as my gift to our youths to make wise decisions about their future. **Revised edition uploaded September 2018.

We are poised to be the go-to teaching resource for all things H20. Older students could be encouraged to use the site for research as we feature sections with links devoted to such topics as aquaculture, climate change, groundwater, pollution; almost every water-related topic you can think of.
