Description
This fun-filled activity allows students to put on a simple production of "T'was the night before Christmas" in both French and English. In order to provide maximum participation, a teacher may wish to divide the lines of this classic poem so that each student recites 2 or 3 lines at a time. Each student would bring props, costumes and any set designs they wish. Be sure to allow students to take ownership of all aspects of the production (casting roles, direction, costumes, speech coaches, props manager, etc.). In the end, be sure to invite other classes to come watch this 5 minute performance. It's sure to put a jolly smile on students' faces.

Description
This research project has Core French 11 students explore a topic from modern Quebec history including such explorations as : La Revolution Tranquille, La loi 101, L'education au Quebec et la Commission Parent, women's suffrage in Quebec and key political figures and more. The powerpoint provides cross-curricular links to the current Socials 11 curriculum and there is an outline for the project itself as well as a criterion-based evaluation guide. Sample powerpoints from students can be accessed through P. Dobie's website for sharing teacher resources.
